Riverwood Inn Extended Stay

Riverwood has a uniqueness that’s hard to find and harder to maintain, so I hope they keep working on it. I remember when this place was in its glory days, and I know venues like this have a tough time surviving. The catered food was outstanding. The outdoor tent can be fun for a big party and has a romantic feel, but it’s badly understaffed. The hotel itself needs some help. Bring your own pillows, and don’t drink the well water. The tent looked so cozy once it was lit up at night, and our guests loved it. We also had a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the "over look" thanks to Mother Nature, and the grounds were lovely as always. Our guests’ rooms were very clean, too. Julie helped make the day go smoothly. She answered all my questions from the start, reassured me, and worked all night to make sure everyone was happy and looked after. Her hard work meant a lot to me. She recommended Wells Catering for dinner, and both the service and food were wonderful. We heard lots of compliments. We got married at Riverwood Inn on Sept 13th, 2014, and were very happy with everything. I hope many more brides get to enjoy a wedding at Riverwood!

Linda was really friendly and kept us updated whenever anything changed. Kevin was helpful, too. We stayed four weeks and were the first guests in a room when the Extended Stay reopened. I’ll stay here again next time we’re in town.

The place is beautiful and the rooms are nice. I met Linda, and she’s a very kind woman who does what she can to help. I’m sorry I gave the place such a low rating. I changed my review because Linda, like the rest of us, can’t always tell when people are being chameleons and manipulating a situation. I hope things work out for her with those particular people who were, or maybe still are, there. Some of the people allowed in made me want to keep my distance. They seemed VERY QUESTIONABLE.
