The River's Edge Motel Lodge & Resort

We stayed the week before 7/4/2025. The rooms were spacious, with separate sitting and dining areas apart from the sleeping space, and everything was very clean. The hot tubs were clean and right beside the river, and there were nice outdoor places to sit. The staff were great. If I'm fortunate enough to make it back that way, I'll 💯 stay here again.

We arrived very late, and the staff welcomed us warmly without any fuss. They were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond with a couple of requests. We even decided to add a night on Christmas Eve, and they made it work. I'd give their service 10 stars if I could. Everything is within walking distance, and the scenery is breathtaking. There's a dog park behind the hotel beside a peaceful stream. Tucked into a little canyon or valley, the place had just the snug, calming feel we needed. I didn't want to leave. Thank you, Laura and John, I think. We'll be back.

John is kind and easy to talk to. When I was looking into places to stay, I don't think it was clear just how amazing the views from the rooms are. Great spot for a trip to Ouray, and I'll absolutely be back. 10/10 recommend!

My kids loved the hot tubs, and the outdoor patio area is beautiful. The location is handy, close to Main Street shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean and adequate. I asked to have mine refreshed, but it hadn't been cleaned when we got back that evening. Also, the riverbank benches seemed to have been stained or sealed recently, since the finish rubbed onto our pants when we sat down to enjoy the view.
