Tillinghast Manor Bed & Brunch

The Manor has lovely old woodwork and impressive architecture, with modern conveniences added while keeping its original charm. It’s also well placed for vineyards along both Seneca and Cayuga Lakes, and there are great restaurants nearby for dinner. We enjoyed the atmosphere and conversation with Jean, Mike, and other guests around the fire, with some tasty local wines. The brunches are incredible, and the hosts are generous, helpful, and great company. Jean and Mike really make you feel like family. We’re already looking forward to another trip upstate and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tillinhast.

The rooms are spacious and well equipped, and Jean and Mike are generous hosts. Their brunch was delicious, too. There aren’t many places to eat nearby, but we loved our stay at Tillinghast and would definitely come back when we’re in the area.

I’m spoiled for anywhere else now. The place feels like stepping back in time, but it has all the modern essentials, and the owners have thought of everything. There’s a stocked mini fridge and snacks all over. Mike and Jean are wonderful hosts, and they decorate the room for occasions like anniversaries and birthdays. The brunch is outstanding. It’s worth every penny and then some. Highly recommend!

If you’re into hiking, the location is fantastic, with parks and waterfalls very close by. The owners also gave us guides and local information so we could make the most of our time. Our room was clean and pleasant, with a beautiful bath, and the house has a lot of character and charm unlike anywhere else I’ve stayed. They left a basket of snacks, fresh fruit, cake, and soft drinks, too. The owners are super friendly. We couldn’t try the brunch because of COVID, but we’re looking forward to a longer visit and trying it next time. Truly phenomenal. Highly recommend!
