Courtyard Owatonna Downtown

The staff were friendly and polite, which I appreciated. But for two days, the tap water was discolored, brown like dirt, and the AC/heater clicked loudly every 15 minutes through the night, making it hard to sleep. The bar was a surprise too, charging $10 for one beer felt excessive. The maintenance problems and unexpected costs took away from what should have been a comfortable stay at this Marriott.

My knees were too swollen to drive after a 14 day Boundary Waters canoe trip, so I stayed here with my golden retriever. They were more than accommodating to him, and I can't say enough good things about the place. For such a small town, it's easily one of the best hotels within a couple hundred miles. The location is perfect, the rooms are clean and smell good, and the staff are super friendly. I'll stay here every year from now on.

Really liked this hotel. The people were very good and the rooms were nice. I don't know when I'll be back in Minnesota, but I'd stay here again.

I've stayed here multiple times, and the shower water pressure and temperature are inconsistent. There's no breakfast, yet they charge more than many other hotels nearby. I'd go to the new hilton instead. I travel every week, and the worn-out beds are a problem. In the first room, the mattress sagged about 5 inches just from pressing a hand on it. I didn't notice and woke up in pain. The second room's bed sank 2-3 inches and was the same story. They don't rotate or replace the mattresses, and it took a week for me to feel better.
