Motel 6 Owensboro, KY

There was no hot water, no bathroom lighting, and no blanket, just two thin sheets. The mattresses were old and had body shaped dents.

The room was so filthy that my feet were black after stepping out of the shower, and everything from the shower to the bed was nasty. I had to go to the store to get my own cleaning supplies. I was already having a bad day, but this wasn't just one forgotten cleaning task. When I told the office, they said they'd let someone know. Moving or leaving wasn't an option for me. I also asked about the washer and dryer and was told they worked, but two small loads cost me $16. Then something bit me. I got up and found a bright red bed bug just hanging out. The employees didn't seem to care, and I was very disappointed. This is by far the worst hotel I've stayed at. I can't believe they take our money. Don't waste yours here. Roadway Inn is much cheaper, quieter, has a microwave and refrigerator in the room, and serves breakfast. I wouldn't stay at this dump even if they paid me.

This place is a joke, don't stay there. The photos are misleading. We paid $120, checked into a room with no bulbs in any of the lamps, and found filth everywhere. The shower paint was peeling and it was dirty, the toilet had urine in it, and there was blood all over the mattress. The smoke alarm was sitting on the table. We complained and got a second room, but it was just as filthy. We finally got a refund, went across the street to Super 8, paid less, and were completely satisfied there.

I would have preferred sleeping in my car. The hotel was disgusting, and if negative stars were an option, I’d give them. When I told the employee my son and I were leaving, he just said, “Okay, have a good night.” Before that, he’d been in the back cursing at someone, presumably on his personal phone. I’m reporting this to the health department.
