That "excellent" rating isn't accurate. Our room felt like a dingy motel, with scuffed, shabby furniture, peeling paint, and a badly finished tabletop. We asked to stay away from construction, but each morning a tractor backing up beeped constantly. Since it's a residential complex, we also heard people starting noisy cars early for work. Arriving late, we spent over half an hour wandering because the staff's directions were poorly explained. We were already exhausted, and once we figured out the map, we just looked at each other and shook our heads. It could have been explained so much more simply. It was the worst stay of our weeklong trip. I wish hotels were as upfront about flaws as sellers on eBay or Amazon, so you can judge whether saving a few bucks is worth the drop in quality.

Tina on the office staff was so helpful and made us feel welcome while getting settled in. The rental was very clean and well kept, and the beach is just steps away. We absolutely loved our recent stay and can't recommend it enough.

We had such a good time and didn't want to leave. The staff were wonderful, friendly, and helpful, and made us feel at home. The room was beautiful, with a balcony overlooking the ocean. We found a gem, and this is going to be my go-to next time. Thank you channel island shores!

The unit was spotless when we arrived, and we've been loving our stay. We have a two-bedroom place with lots of space and a well-stocked kitchen. The beach is close by and huge, and having a grill and hot tub right at the unit is really convenient. We'll definitely come back.

Lucy was kind and professional, and we had a peaceful stay. The home was huge but cozy, very clean, and only a few steps from the beach. The spa was clean and ready for us. We enjoyed every part of our vacation and are already planning to return.
