Comfort Inn Oxon Hill - National Harbor

My wife felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe after hotel security followed us from the parking lot, all the way to the hood of my car, then watched us from about 10 feet away as we entered our room. We checked out early because of it and will never stay at another Comfort Inn. If the guard acted on his own, he cost the company future business. Save your money and stay across the bridge in VA.

There was a roach in the room, and five cars were broken into. My friend’s passenger window was completely smashed. It didn’t feel safe, and neither the hotel nor priceline provided a refund. The front desk staff were very nice, though.

The location was perfect for us, and breakfast was okay. The TV was a letdown: only a few channels came in, and most were too pixelated to watch. Since I was sick and stuck in the room, having so few viewing options was a drag.

The only good thing I can say is that the staff were friendly, though they were very unhelpful after our break-in. We parked in the front lot by the main road. In the morning, there was broken glass across the parking spaces. Our truck’s window had been smashed, the bed cover was wrecked, and hundreds of dollars’ worth of tools were stolen. The security footage was poor and useless. A police officer said this happens regularly at the hotel. The room smelled like someone had smoked in it, water leaked from the bathroom ceiling above the toilet, and the shower nozzle was pulling out of the wall and wasn’t sealed. This was the worst Comfort Inn I’ve stayed at.
