Hampton Inn Ozark

They’re renovating, so a lot of the rooms are still being worked on. The pool was nice, the new beds were comfortable, and the upgrades look good. Our cable didn’t work, and the other room they offered still needed its thermostat set up, so we kept our room. The staff were great and, since we’re gold members, they offered extra points.

The room is showing plenty of wear, though the staff were great and it was clean. The pillows were crummy. I also found the fitted sheet put on backward, so it came off and kept wrapping around me all night. After my shower, I realized there weren’t any towels.

Ty at the front desk was lovely, and the king bed was comfortable. The air conditioner was quiet too. But the bathroom was disgusting, with pink mold and dirty black mold. The room looked nothing like the website photos, and the refrigerator barely cooled with no way to adjust it. The whole property was under renovation when we arrived, and apparently had been for six months. I wish they’d mentioned that on the website or when I called the desk. The Inn Ozark location worked perfectly for our trip, but the room was barely basic and nothing like what was pictured. Breakfast was awful: odd pale patties that might’ve been sausage, a dry little folded thing that might’ve been egg, a couple of sad potato wedges, gooey-looking oatmeal, and bakery items that were terribly inedible. My husband made a waffle and threw it out. We ended up sharing a bagel, and the coffee was weak and tasteless. I understand the hotel interior had recently been renovated, but I’m not sure about the rooms. We won’t be returning to this particular Hampton Inn.

The front desk employee was the only good part of this stay. My room was hot because the air conditioner wouldn’t work, and the TV wasn’t a smart TV. Things looked dirty, and there was rust at the bottom of the tub. I didn’t get my money’s worth.
