We have spent more than six months trying to get a refund for the duplicate charge, but the hotel says we weren't there, despite our checking in, staying overnight, and paying in person. We were charged twice for the same night. We checked in around midnight, then checked out and paid at the property the next morning, just as our Booking.com reservation specified. It seems the receptionist may have handled the check-in incorrectly, and the hotel later marked us as a “no-show,” leading Booking.com to charge us as well. This has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Errors happen, but denying that we stayed and refusing to help fix a clear double charge is unacceptable. Future guests should keep their receipts and other records.

The woman at the front desk was so warm and helpful. If she reads this, thank you. Her kindness meant a lot while we were so far from home. The beds were fine, with no pain or discomfort, which feels impressive for the price. The rooms and bathrooms are dated, but everything worked, including the AC. I doubt many people come here to watch the tiny TV anyway. The town was alright. Some people were friendly, and a few were really affable, though the rude ones could quickly bring down your mood. Keep expectations low and try to have fun. The area is beautiful, and there are kind people around.

The room had most of what I needed, and the Wi-Fi worked. It wasn't fancy, and the front desk clerk seemed pleasant enough. The price and being close to Mount Rainier were the main draws. There's also a decent supermarket next door. But the AC didn't work, and the heat was blasting for some reason. I turned the thermostat every way I could, with no luck. I was too tired to call the front desk and ask someone to come fix it, so I ended up sweating and feeling really uncomfortable.

The rooms have an old-fashioned feel and may look dated, but they were very clean. Christine and Jess were especially friendly and professional, and gave us great suggestions for local attractions and places to eat. My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Packwood Inn, and we'll definitely come back.

We enjoyed our stay, and the location made it easy to walk everywhere. It's an older motel that's being remodeled gradually, and the people are really nice.
