Beach Club Condos

I rented a condo from December through March and had a great time. It’s clean and quiet, and the neighbors weren’t noisy. There’s a heated pool, jacuzzi, training room, and a Sona. The beach is about a five minute walk, lovely for long sunset strolls. Near the Beach Club, you can rent a golf car to drive on the beach. This is a very windy island, and it was colder than I expected. Still, I rode my road bike to the National Seashore Park in winter. I’m not sure I’d do that in summer, since traffic gets very busy during spring break. It may not be safe unless you’re a very good cyclist, and I wouldn’t recommend riding to the park for novice cyclists or Sunday riders. Instead, go to the National Seashore Park, where you can ride safely for +/- 5 miles. Hope you enjoy your time as much as I did.

Unit 111 had lots of room, was well equipped, and had a balcony where we watched fireworks. The property has a lovely pool, hot tub, excellent fitness center, sauna, and day/game room, and it’s close to Whitecap. The big problem is wheelchair access: every entrance has stairs, with no ramps or alternate way in, and there’s no wheelchair pool lift.

A great spot for a laid-back weekend, with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The beach feels clean and uncrowded, ideal for a romantic or family getaway. Lots of restaurants and shops are just minutes away, and several beachfront vacation properties are listed on Airbnb.

Being close to the beach was a plus, but the dishwasher smelled bad and the supposedly clean dishes still needed washing, from plates to silverware. The pots and pans need replacing too. The apartment door says quiet time starts at 7pm, while the website says 10pm, so that was confusing. It wasn’t a terrible stay, but the housekeeping needs to improve and some furniture should be updated.
