Blue Bay Inn and Suites

Don't stay here. The room had mold and water damage, and the hotel was hot. The pool water was almost black. The refrigerator door was broken, and the nightstand was peeling along every edge. The remote was missing its battery cover. It wasn't worth the money I spent.

The rooms are fantastic and clean, with incredible value for a “budget” hotel. We were definitely D+ customers, even though we got A+ commendations. Our little girl ate sand and threw up everywhere for about 2-3 hours in the middle of the night. The sheets weren't stained, but the staff politely let us know there might be cleaning fees. Thankfully, those weren't needed, and we got fresh clean sheets for the night. They were kind despite us being less than ideal customers. Easiest five stars I've given to date.

We arrived a little before midnight and checked in around 11:30pm for a two-night stay in a deluxe room with a kitchenette. It was quiet and a nice, cold room, and the location is minutes from the crossway. When we inspected the room, the microwave was broken, the TV didn't work, and the stove wouldn't work with just any pans. They said they were completely booked, so they couldn't move us to another room. The next day, maintenance came and replaced the TV and microwave, and brought us pans that worked with the stove.

The bathroom had little bugs, the jacuzzi didn’t work, and there were no lounge chairs. We paid extra for a balcony, but ours was the only room without chairs; I asked for some and never got them. We also paid for early check-in, then the maid opened the door to clean after we were already inside. The listing says it’s 1200 feet from the beach, but that seems to mean the bay, not the beach. If you want a bargain, try another hotel. If you’re looking to slum it, this might be your place.
