Gulf View, Resort Perks: Suntide III - Unit 201

I paid $350 a night for a room in unacceptable, unhygienic condition. It was dirty, with roaches and tobacco-stained bed sheets. When I reported it and asked to move, I was told there were no other rooms available. The listing presented this as a private unit, but it's a shared condominium. I was also charged an undisclosed extra $300 on arrival. The amount of rules and paperwork was excessive, including a detailed damage inspection form that seemed unreasonable for guests just trying to relax. The room, surprise fees, and unnecessary procedures made the stay a complete waste of money. I would strongly advise against booking here under any circumstances.

I visited yesterday, the 22nd, and was disappointed to see manager Thelma arguing with and belittling a female employee in front of people. I felt sorry for the employee and asked the manager's name. She should treat people with respect and have those conversations in private. She shouldn't be running an establishment like this. I hope something 🙏 is done about it. Thanks, this place is great.¡!

The location was great and the amenities were okay, but our room had damage and missing blinds. We weren't told about the loud construction, which carried on for four of the six days I stayed. After I complained, they offered one night's refund, though it took several days for them to agree to it.

The location was great and the rooms were nice, but our privacy was repeatedly violated. Maintenance men walked straight into our condo twice during our three-night stay, without knocking or calling first. I reported the first entry and was promised it wouldn't happen again, but it did. I felt violated and so uneasy about leaving our things in the room that I put my valuables in the car whenever we went out. They had no regard for our privacy. What if my kids had been there alone, or we weren't dressed? Our room had no issues that we knew of, so I don't understand why they thought this was okay. Stay somewhere else.
