Gulfview II 209 by Padre Island Rentals

The pool and BBQ area were lovely. Everything was beautiful, clean, quiet, and relaxing, and we had a great stay. Can’t wait to come back.

We had a wonderful, comfortable stay as a family. The Olympic-size pool is super large, and there are two hot tubs. It’s a five-minute walk to the beach. We’ll definitely stay again.

Gulfview II, Rm 209 was a complete dump. The listing photos were clearly altered, and the place was extremely dirty and poorly maintained. There was even a rolled-up maxi pad on the bathroom floor. We contacted the host and the management company, but neither tried to make things better. We left after the first night.

Our vehicle was towed while we were trying to pack before morning, which was especially upsetting as a mother of two small children. The pass had fallen from the rearview mirror onto the cup holders, an easy mistake. When we retrieved the vehicle, the pass was indeed on top of the cupholder. The security guard/manager/supervisor took a photo of the front window as “proof of no parking pass,” but couldn’t explain whether he had checked inside the vehicle, which I believe should be part of his job. He also told us to find the towing company ourselves and was rude and unprofessional about giving us the details. During our conversation, he seemed proud of how many cars he had towed that night. I also saw him sitting by the pool eating and hanging out with other residents during the weekend. He said he was in his room on the third floor in the evening, rather than monitoring the property for guest safety. Guests need clearer communication about possible issues and towing. There was no manager above him we could contact, which is ridiculous. The security guard needs proper customer service training or should be removed. I don’t recommend staying here.
