I’m staying here now, and it’s terrible. The place smells, things are broken, and there’s mold everywhere. Reviews from two or three months ago describe the same problems, and nothing seems to have changed. They charge me $120 a night. Check out the pictures I took. Please don’t stay here. This place should be torn down and condemned.

The front desk staff were polite, which was about the only good part. The hotel is extremely run down: the “automatic” entrance doors need to be opened by hand. My first room smelled strongly musty and had visible mold. The second was somewhat better but still musty. There wasn’t any hot water for a shower, and the grounds had almost no outdoor lighting, which made the place feel unsafe. The pool was closed and looked like a dirty bathtub. I’d rate this one star or even zero. In my opinion, it needs to close and be completely rebuilt. Save yourself the trouble and stay elsewhere.
It was nearly 10 p.m. when we had to find somewhere else to stay, after booking through hotels.com, which has let me down twice this year. I’d prepaid a nonrefundable rate and paid another $55 for late checkout, but the desk eventually offered a refund only after making me wait and worry. I’m still hoping the third party follows through. The pool and jacuzzi were why I chose this place, so hearing the pool was under repair was disappointing. Then I found out there was no hot water either. I asked about the included breakfast, another small comfort at that point, but the dim, untidy dining area didn’t put me at ease. My partner finally said it wasn’t acceptable. Even getting into the lobby involved being told by the front desk woman to pull the sliding doors open, which should’ve been a clue they weren’t working right.
I was given a full refund, and I didn’t even make a scene. I guess my expression said enough to the guy at the desk. There hadn’t been a call to say the hot water was out, and when I got to room 205, a half-dressed man got up from the bed. Trash was all over and the room stank of cigarettes. The TV was blaring, which had already seemed odd. That building needs to come down. The elevator feels like an accident waiting to happen.
There were roaches crawling on the floor, and the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed. The bathroom in our first room was filthy, so we switched, but the next one was no better and we ended up cleaning it ourselves. The guest room door wouldn’t lock, so we had to use the key. The sliding entrance doors didn’t work either. The ice machine area was filthy and looked like it might fall through the floor. Plaster was coming off at the end of the hallway. I was completely grossed out. The franchise manager shouldn’t be allowed to put their name on a place like this.
