A nice, quiet place to relax, away from the birding center and turtle place. There's a boat dock but no boat ramp, which is why this isn't a five-star review. The pool and hot tub are small, but nice. I'd recommend staying here if you want to unwind.
The staff and tenants were really nice, and it was quiet the whole time. The beach is within walking distance, and there's a marina. Fishing from the pier and docking a boat don't cost extra. The jacuzzi and pool are easy to use and have a bathroom and shower nearby. The BBQ pit is a bit old but still useful. Most units are studios, so they might feel small if you're not used to condo living, though they're much more comfortable than a hotel. There are costs like guest wristbands at $15, but I don't remember any other additional charges.
The grounds are tidy, the neighborhood is quiet, and the residents seem nice. There are luggage carts, plus a ramp and elevator in the building. But access stops short of the pool and docks, so anyone in our group using a wheelchair or scooter can't get to either. I’m also bothered by the required wristbands, at $15 for every person. That adds up quickly for a larger unit. With empty lots all around the property, I don't see who these bands are meant to keep out.
The sheets were stained, and there was mold on the walls. We also had to pay $15 per person to use the pool. This was a nasty place to stay, nothing like the ad suggested, and a waste of money. I wouldn't recommend it.
I only got to use the room for a short time after paying what felt like an excessive amount. My reservation was through Airbnb, where cleaning was included, but the condo still required us to take out the trash, wash any glass we used, and manage the A/C or face extra charges. A hotel seems like a better choice for what this place offers. After my payment was confirmed, they added charges that hadn't been explained in the Airbnb app. Customer service was awful and slow, and it took over an hour to get the room. The door code then failed, costing me another 30 minutes before I could get inside. They finally gave me the room at almost 8 p.m., with mandatory checkout at 11 a.m. I definitely don't recommend this place. It's far too expensive for the service.
