Freddy and his staff made this an amazing motel to spend the winter. They went out of their way to keep us entertained and make us feel at home. Louie and the breakfast staff made breakfast enjoyable, and Louie's dance nights were always fun. His energy is something else. The front office team were always helpful, and the maintenance crew, Fabian, Luis and Isaiah, kept things working and the outside respectable. Anna and her housekeeping staff did a great job keeping our room clean and stocked with the essentials. This was the greatest motel experience my wife and I have had.

Louie's breakfasts will stick with us. He's so friendly, like everyone's his friend, and he spoke Tagalog with us since my wife is originally from the Philippines. We had such a good time on our visit that we added another night. We'll be back.

The location made it easy to walk to everything, from the beach to shops, restaurants, and sightseeing. There was even a park right in front of the hotel. Luis cooked the waffles at the included breakfast and brought so much energy to the morning. I'll definitely book here again next time in SPI.

The hotel has walking access to South Padre Island Beach access point #24, which is a nice touch. Service was great, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Our room was okay, but the showers could use upgrades to the hot water system. The water worked, just wasn't really hot. The bathroom hand rails were loose and seemed like a potential fall or slip hazard. Free continental breakfast was included, with cereal, waffles, muffins, and bagels, but no protein items.

We stayed for three nights the first week of June as a family. I wouldn't stay again unless it were a last-minute thing. The room needs major repairs and upgrades. The beds were clean, but all the pillows need replacing, the bathtub was very slippery, and the towels were thin. Breakfast was just pastries and pancakes, with no protein at all. The chocolate milk was locked away so nobody could get any.
