The Palms Resort

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the very good food in the cafe. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great. Some outdoor areas show wear from the salt and sea water, which is to be expected so close to the Gulf. We were sorry to leave and would definitely come back.

Jess at the front desk is such a sweet woman. We came for our honeymoon, and really liked the hotel's private path to the beach and the amazing restaurant attached to it. Definitely recommend the calamari fries.

The location couldn’t be better, and the beachside cafe served really good Mahi Mahi tacos. The room, though, was terrible: the moldy smell was overwhelming, there were no amenities or decor, and both the bed and pillows were uncomfortable. I’ve lived near the ocean most of my life, so I understand moisture problems, but maybe they should remove the popcorn ceiling, especially around the shower, and find the source of the mold smell instead of painting over it. Just a suggestion.

We stopped for one night while passing through, and the room was quiet, clean, and well stocked. The bed was cozy, the AC worked great, and the shower was good. The full-size fridge was handy, and the cafe was right nearby. Beach access is directly outside, and it wasn’t crowded. A+ from us, we’ll be back!
