Wanna Wanna Inn

The piña coladas were so good! We didn’t get to try the food, though it looked great. The spot itself felt relaxed, with a great beachside setting, views, and atmosphere, and everyone serving us was welcoming and friendly. They also have motel rooms that connect, which seemed like a fun place to stay. Definitely stop by.

Nice atmosphere and a great beach view at this little bar. The high chairs are comfortable for hanging out. Getting a drink can take a while since one bartender seems to be covering the work of two. Prices felt a little high, and the cups could be better quality.

We stopped for lunch while visiting, though we weren’t staying at South Padre. The tilapia sandwich came out hot, crisp, and fresh, but its horseradish sauce was a bit strong for the fish. The creamy coleslaw made a great side. My two family members enjoyed their hamburgers and fries, and said the burgers were a good size. I liked watching the ocean, but the wind was so strong that we didn’t stay on the beach for long. The Pina Colada was good, too.

We love spending time at the beach from here, and Saturday nights with live music are a lot of fun. The summer days can be packed with tourists. Service is always warm and friendly, and the cocktails and seafood are great. Ceviche, oysters, and shrimp are some of our favorites.
