Waves Resort Corpus Christi

We spent a Monday in July here as part of an anniversary trip, and the park was very quiet. I haven’t visited another Schlitterbahn's, though I’ve been to water parks around the country. For what it offers, the price seemed reasonable, especially with free parking and tubes included. I couldn’t find tube information online, so to be clear, they’re free to use. There are small and large lockers, and you’ll need a large one for more than two people. You can pay for lockers with exact cash or a credit card. The main attractions seem to be the different lazy river routes rather than lots of rides. We especially liked the ocean wave and rapids loop at the back and went around it many times. The waves there get pretty strong, so I’d be cautious about taking children under five or six on it. The pavement felt okay for the first couple of hours, then got really hot. I don’t have sensitive feet, but water shoes should be mandatory. Since you can’t run, we ended up hopping between shade, grass, and water to save our feet. We put our flip flops back on and carried them in our laps while tubing. Coolers and lunches are allowed. Our bag lunch fit in the locker with our other things, but if you bring a cooler, you may need someone to stay with it. They have small and large lockers. Hope this helps!

For a town like CC, Tx, this is pretty damn good, especially since it’s tucked away in an isolated part of town where people mainly go fishing or to the beach. My two daughters and I had a great time, and we’ll definitely come back and recommend it. We went on a Friday in mid-July, and it wasn’t crowded at all. The place was clean, the staff were above average, and there seemed to be a good number of them for the guests. Most were very young, though. Food options were pretty good, but food isn’t the main reason you come, and alcohol was easy to get. The front desk was somewhat useless when we had a specific situation. They couldn’t handle it themselves and called their young manager, who used common sense and sorted it out. This isn’t some high-dollar, fancy place that’s going to make a world top 10 list. I could call my experience a five, but there’s always room to improve. Maybe my family and I just look on the bright side.

We always have a good time here as a family. The park has plenty for everyone, it’s clean, the lines are short, and the staff are helpful. Free parking and being able to bring our own food help make the price work for us, even though I think tickets cost a bit much for the attractions available. I hope more people give it a chance so it can succeed and grow into something that supports tourism in the coastal bend.

The floating bar was a highlight, with really good drinks, and the lifeguards and bartenders were very nice. We still had a good time, but the park felt much smaller than the other Schlitterbahns we’ve visited, even though the price was the same. There are only two big rides, and the lazy river doesn’t connect to all of them like it does at the one in south padre island. We had to get out and walk to the second ride. Without water shoes, the hot concrete really cut into our time. We got through the whole park in two hours. It also seemed more suited to younger kids. There are no changing rooms or showers to use when you’re done.
