Wi-Fi was the biggest problem for me. There was a network, but it didn’t work, and cell reception in the area was already spotty. There also wasn’t any complimentary water in the room or at breakfast. It looked like buying bottles from the hotel market for $2.50 each was the only option. With so many guests hiking and doing outdoor activities, a bottle or two at check-in would make sense. I’d bring my own water. The hair dryer in my room didn’t work either. On the plus side, the hotel was clean, the staff were attentive and friendly, and my room was spacious and comfortable. I appreciated the Herman Miller desk chair and large LG TV, though working internet and water would have been more useful. Breakfast ran from 6:00 to 9:30 a.m. and was basic but fine to start the day. The pool and jacuzzi were closed for the season, so I can’t speak to them.

I was happy with my choice. The room was clean and comfortable, and I liked having a small shop for snacks. The staff were especially kind and even gave us toothbrushes when I’d forgotten mine.

The area was packed with tourists and a lot of hotels were full, but LaQuinta Inn let us arrive early so we could leave our bags and get settled before heading out around Page, AZ. We were greeted with a smile and could choose from a couple of available rooms. Once we got in, we saw there was no bedding in the room for the pull-out sofa. We called the front desk, and within a minute the host showed up at our door with clean linens, blankets, and pillows. We slept well, and breakfast had the usual choices. We enjoyed the stay and would come back if we needed to.

The room was clean and well cared for, and check-in was quick. The location was good. Breakfast, though, made us uncomfortable. The staff weren’t friendly and seemed to act as if the meal was being given away for free. They watched guests very closely. The hotel should improve both the breakfast service and the staff’s attitude.

The location was good, and I have no complaints if you’re staying without a dog. But we chose this hotel because it welcomed pets and advertised a dog area, and I wouldn’t return with my dog. The fence in that area doesn’t reach the ground, and, as others have mentioned, sharp burrs got stuck in my dog’s paws and made them bleed.
