Comfort Inn Painesville - Concord

The room was clean, and the front desk staff were genuinely warm and welcoming. They were the best part of the stay. We were disappointed to find the pool closed. The side doors wouldn't take our room keys, either, so after finding the front parking full, we had to leave the car around back and carry our bags all the way around to the main entrance. The charges were confusing and frustrating. There was a $150 deposit, an initial charge of $310, and then another $163 came out of my account while the $310 was still pending. I called the hotel to ask about it but didn't get useful answers. For the price, the extra hassles made the stay a letdown.

The thoughtful touches for my son really stuck with me. The front desk brought him coloring pages and crayons at breakfast, and when the breakfast attendant saw how much he liked the colorful donut, she surprised him with a special muffin. It meant a lot. We were there Sunday night for a practice trip with him, and left feeling cared for and ready to travel again. The room was cozy and clean, with fun modern lighting. The pool was spotless and comfortably warm, and there were lots of towels. Breakfast was fresh and had a huge range: eggs, potatoes, bacon, waffles, cereal, yogurt, donuts, muffins, and bagels, plus coffee, juice, milk, and water. Check-in was just as nice. The gentleman at the desk was so welcoming, and even checked back later that evening to see how things were going. We had a wonderful stay at Comfort Inn in Concord, Ohio, and would happily recommend it.

We got in late and left early, but still had a hot and continental breakfast to choose from. The place felt quiet, safe, warm, and welcoming. The woman who checked us in greeted our pup and gave her a treat. It's hard to find a clean place that doesn't cost too much and allows dogs, so after reading the reviews we chose this one. I loved the non-carpeted floors, which I think hotels should have whether they allow pets or not, and there was a nice pet area outside. One thought for winter: using pet-safe salt around the hotel would help. We'd stay here again, and I've saved it for our next trip.
