The Denny House

We really enjoyed our two nights in this spacious old house. It has lots of history, original details and some original furniture, plus a very comfortable bed. Amy, the housekeeper, was friendly and helpful, and made delicious breakfasts. There’s plenty of ground to walk around, too. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Amy was a wonderful hostess and made us a great breakfast during our one-night stay at The Denny House. My daughter and I also enjoyed seeing the historic house and grounds. Our room and beds were clean and comfortable. Paint Lick is a very small town, though Berea and Chenault Vineyards are only 15-20 minutes away.

The Travelers Porch was our favorite part of the stay, with its own staircase and a porch running the length of the room, furnished with a bench and two chairs made from bourbon barrels. It has just one full-size bed. Inside, the common areas are beautifully furnished with antiques, and the dining area has ice, glasses for wine or bourbon, and coffee and tea. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh eggs, and the owner also has a brewery on site with great beer on tap. Paint Lick may be a small village, but the Denny House B & B is a real treasure for a weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had a great time at this peaceful BnB, and the bed was super comfy. Since not many restaurants are open on Mondays, we picked up snacks and played backgammon in the living area, then enjoyed the fire pit outside. Breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of food. Thanks, Amy, for making our stay so nice. We often drive by The Denny House on road trips, so we’ll be back.
