The water from the shower started out brown, then cleared up, but it never got hot enough for me. It felt warm at the showerhead and cooler by the time it reached me, and I like it HOT, LOL. Otherwise, it was a good stay. The front desk person was very friendly, our room had just been cleaned and smelled good, and the beds were comfortable. We also liked having the sink outside the toilet and tub area.

We'd been traveling for hours when we checked in, and the room itself was nice. But the TV was broken, and even though the motel had plenty of rooms, they wouldn't move us or replace it. The front desk woman said she'd send maintenance, but nobody came. I called again and she didn't call back to say no one was available. She said maintenance was out of town and would arrive at 2:30 in the morning to put in another TV, when we'd be asleep. My husband asked at the office about moving rooms, and her husband wouldn't even look him in the eyes. He repeated that our money wasn't refundable. We weren't asking for our money back, just the TV we paid for or another room. Police told us we'd have to take them to court for a refund. We ended up managing the stay without a TV, but it was an awful experience. We were put in a handicap room, and the motel's management was terrible. Guests should be a priority, but the front desk answered the phone like she'd just gotten out of bed and didn't take care of our stay. I'd never stay here again. I had to give one star just to write the review.

The beds were really comfortable, but the rest of the room was gross. The floors left our feet black. When we asked the cleaning lady to mop, she acted like she didn't understand, even though we'd clearly heard her speaking English to the front desk.

We ended up getting help from Wyndam corporate and our credit card company, so we didn't have to pay for the room. If you're considering Super 8 Palestine, good luck. The staff at the Holiday Inn Express less than a mile away were very friendly, and the accommodations were great. We were in town for a funeral and chose this place because other family members were staying there too. We booked through Super 8’s website about an hour before arriving at 2:45 p.m., after a 13-hour drive. First the key didn't work, so we walked back to the desk to have it fixed. It worked the second time, but when we opened the door, it looked like someone was still staying in the room or it hadn't been cleaned. We hadn't been there more than 10 minutes and had already run into two problems. We were exhausted and needed a shower before the visitation, so we decided to leave and asked them not to charge us. The desk agent spoke to the manager, who came out and said there'd be no refund. When I said the room was filthy, she got defensive and rude. She pointed out it was 2:55 and check-in was at 3:00, saying we were trying to get in early. I told her it was only five minutes before check-in, and they shouldn't have rented us a room that wasn't ready. I asked for the owner's number; she said, “I am the owner.” I explained they were in hospitality and could have been more accommodating, since we'd had to return to the desk to get the key fixed and then found the room unclean. When I asked again for the owner's number, she repeated that she was the owner. I was shocked an owner would act that way, if she really was the owner. She said “good luck” when I told her I'd dispute the charge with my card company, then smugly called after us, “Have a nice day!” She said more, but I don't need to repeat it all. The only other car on the property belonged to our family members. Is business so bad they have to refuse refunds to make a profit? The “owner” didn't need to be that rude.
