Privacy in the bathroom was impossible in the one-bedroom suite, which allegedly sleeps four. The sliding barn door in the bedroom had a very obscene two-inch gap, and the bathroom could be reached from both the kitchen and bedroom. Anyone on the bed could see straight into the bathroom, including the toilet. I was sharing the suite with my handicapped nephew, who slept in the bedroom, while I had the uncomfortable sofa bed in the living room. I couldn’t shower or use the bathroom without waking him and risking him seeing me nude through the gap. I had to go to the lobby at 10:30 pm and again at 5:45 am to use the facilities privately. I sent photos to Hilton Customer Service and filed a report. When I tried to raise this privacy issue with the manager, she called me rude, then called the police to have me trespassed. She also called me a liar. LOL. The manager was rude and unprofessional. At 8 a.m., just as I was finally getting into the shower with privacy because my nephew was awake and eating in the dining area, two very nice officers knocked. She had sent them to trespass me. I had ten minutes to get dressed, skip the shower, pack, and be escorted through the lobby in front of several onlookers. She yelled at me and embarrassed a long-time, loyal Elite Hilton Honors American Express holder. Please make her do better, Hilton. You have a reputation to protect.

The room was clean, and the hotel is close to the airport, but the lighting and service were frustrating. I walked into a dark room and couldn’t turn on the light until I learned the key card had to be used to activate the power, even though the light by the bed worked. The phone had no dial tone, and the bathroom’s motion sensor light didn’t work reliably. The front desk representative hadn’t explained the key card setup or offered to fix the phone.

Fernando, the maintenance manager, went out of his way to get the grills cleaned for us and find us a wine opener. He made our visit really pleasant and gave us excellent five-star service. New owners, please recognize what a good employee he is. We’ll be back.

I’m staying in a One-Bedroom King Suite at Home2 Suites by Hilton Palm Bay Melbourne I-95, and it’s been a wonderful stay. The suite is spacious, modern, comfortable, and practical for a longer visit. The property is clean and has a well-cared-for feel. Car Micah at the front desk made a great impression from the start. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, and they’ve been professional, knowledgeable about the property, attentive to details, and ready to help whenever I’ve had a request. The accommodations and service make this a good choice for business or leisure. I highly recommend it and plan to return on a future visit.
