Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa

There was something to do the whole time, from golf and spa visits to the beach, pools, dining, and other activities. The resort is huge, with options for couples, families, or a special occasion. We found the food fabulous at every restaurant we tried, and the grounds are gorgeous. It feels upscale while still being welcoming and family-friendly. Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa made for a stunning Florida getaway, and we're already looking forward to coming back.

We had such a lovely spa day with my mom. Matt gave me a massage and Donna worked on my mom, and we both keep saying it felt like heaven. Best massages we've ever had. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Afterward at Atlantic grill, Sam was a sweet, helpful server. Can't wait to try more spa services and have another day like that!

The only good part of the trip was the bartenders, Anton and John. We would never come back, this isn't close to a luxury hotel. We arrived at 3:59pm and were told the room wasn't ready, joining the 40-60 other people waiting in the lobby. After 20 minutes I asked for an ETA because we had dinner reservations at 5pm, and they said 15 minutes. At 4:35, with no update, we went up and found no housekeeping around and a room that looked ready. They didn't text us until 30 minutes later, so everyone had been waiting for nothing. It put the trip on a bad footing. Later, fire alarms went off and we had to evacuate. We were told there might be an electrical issue, which we understood, until they went off again at 6:40 am. We packed quickly and left. Friends who stayed a year ago said the alarms went off every night of their stay too. That's neglect, period. The hotel needs updating, and it's not a relaxing getaway, with kids everywhere, even running through the spa area.

The suite was huge, around 700 square feet, with a tub and shower, a sitting area, a small two plate cooking space, and a fridge. We got just two bottles of water. Parking is free and enclosed, with valet also available, and elevators take you straight from the parking area to your room. There are several pools, including an adults pool with bar service until 1700, plus two kids pools with a slide and lazy river. Lots of servers were around, so we never waited for food or drinks at the pool. There are tables and places to eat, and reservations are needed at the two main restaurants, though the front desk can book them easily. We ate at Delfinos, where Sharon was an exceptional waitress. The Italian food and drinks were great, and $125 for two wasn't bad. There's also a lobby coffee shop with a bar, a health club, an indoor pool, beach access with a walking trail, and childcare on site. It's a gorgeous resort and has to be one of the best I've visited in the United States. The staff were wonderful, no rude or unpleasant people in sight. Great place for kids.
