We booked the whole hotel at Blackhaus in Palm Springs for a leadership offsite and truly enjoyed the stay. There was plenty of space for us to gather, and everyone had their own king bedroom and private bath. The four kitchens had the amenities we needed. Getting in was easy with keyless entry, and the door codes arrived well in advance. The AvantStay team was always available and responsive. We'd definitely book the entire place again.

We had a large suite with two bedrooms and three bathrooms, plus a nicely equipped kitchen. My daughter and I played bocce on the court outside our unit, then walked quickly to downtown's main drag for dinner and shopping. It's a real bargain if you'd rather have room to spread out than squeeze into a small hotel room.

My partner and I needed a place for one night near the airport before meeting family for the weekend. I've traveled to Palm Springs for over 30 years and watched its ups and downs, so it's nice to see downtown lively again. Blackhaus seemed to fit our needs. I'd give the location five stars, but the rest? Run away fast. There are bigger problems than the misleading photos, but even getting into the room was rough. The worn lock tumbler didn't catch, so it took me ten minutes to get in the first time. You enter the code, turn the wheel, and hope it unlocks. Once inside, I was in, which was fine, but who wants that after a long flight at 8 pm? I stayed one night on Feb 11, in room C-15. The owners seemed to be going for a certain look, but the cheap materials, layout, and general wear made it feel like it was done on a shoestring. The floors are polished concrete with no rugs, which may be fine if that's your thing. Low-gloss finishes might feel warmer and more approachable while still being durable. The shower faces the entry door. If someone opens the door while you're showering, you're exposed to the outside. There were barely any towels, and the shower head was caked with hard-water deposits, sending water everywhere but onto me. I could go on about cheap plywood glued to the ceiling for effect, a refrigerator just sitting along a wall, dead outlets, and more. The worst part happened during my Valentine's dinner on Feb 14. I had stayed there for one night on Feb 11, yet during dinner I started getting multiple accusatory emails and texts claiming I'd brought dogs and hadn't told them. They were fining me and sending payment links. Dinner was ruined, so I reached out immediately to everyone whose contact details I had to clear it up. I got only cryptic text replies. I sent several messages and, as of this post, it's still unresolved. I wouldn't recommend staying here. At best, it's lipstick on a pig. I think it's some kind of hybrid Airbnb. I don't know who's in charge, so if you choose to stay, godspeed.

We had a two-bedroom place with a kitchen. Every room was very spacious, had its own bathroom, and opened to the back patio through sliding glass doors. The hosts responded quickly. When we said the pool looked a little dirty, someone came to clean it within 30 minutes. Great service. It's not right on the strip, but still well located, and the price was great for the space, location, and amenities. We'd definitely stay again.

I had a one-bedroom unit that was cool, clean, and modern. Blackhaus is a great choice if you want privacy beyond what a traditional hotel offers and to be close to downtown Palm Springs. There isn't staff on site, but they were always quick to respond when I needed them. My room would have been five stars if it had a microwave and a table or desk for working or eating.
