We liked the place enough to add an extra night. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat in, and the roomy living room and bedroom were both comfortable. Having two bathrooms was great, one for him and one for me. There’s great shopping right across the street. The fitness center was very nice, with tennis and underground racquetball courts too. The on-site restaurant was fantastic, with all homemade food and desserts to die for. We’ll definitely return!

For a three-star hotel, we had a great stay. The one-bedroom unit was spacious, and the kitchen had all we needed, even a blender. The appliances and cookware weren’t luxury quality, but everything looked new and was very clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating. They let us park right in front of our unit instead of in the assigned spot, which was handy. Downtown was about a 10-minute drive away. The pool and hot tub area felt cozy and never got crowded while we were there. The rates were very reasonable for what you get.

The staff at Desert Isle really stood out. I called the front desk a month before our stay with questions about the unit, and a friendly person answered right away. Erin and Jackie were warm and very helpful, and Sal checked us in quickly and shared useful information. Unlike some impersonal, unwelcoming resorts, the team here knew the local area and were outstanding. The property has a lovely “welcome home” feel, with beautiful grounds and nice pools. Our unit was large and comfortable, with plenty of storage. The chairs were comfortable, and the couch was surprisingly comfy as a bed for an adult. Dedicated covered parking near each unit was very convenient. At the end of January the weather was lovely, sunny and in the 70s.

Our apartment-like room was the highlight: spacious, beautifully furnished, spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. It had the roominess and homey details that made it feel like our own place. From arrival on, the whole Desert Isle team made us feel welcome, with friendly, helpful, professional service. Erin especially went above and beyond. The warm atmosphere made our visit feel like home. We can’t recommend The Desert Isle of Palm Springs highly enough for comfort, great service, and a memorable stay. Huge thanks to Erin and everyone.

We’ve stayed here twice and would happily come back. It’s an older place, but clean and really nicely kept. The pool and hot tub are great, and you can walk to food and retail stores. Downtown Palm Springs is about two miles away. Highly recommend!
