Old Ranch Inn - Adults Only 21 & Up

I’m very grateful to the owners of Old Ranch Inn for helping me after I got caught up in a hotel booking scam. I’d booked online, then couldn’t reach the third-party booking site to cancel. The owners promptly contacted Expedia for me and managed to cancel the reservation. They were extremely helpful and compassionate, and I appreciate their commitment to doing right by customers. If I reschedule my Palm Springs trip, I’ll definitely stay at Old Ranch Inn.

Old Ranch Inn made for a peaceful, low-key stay. It’s kid-free and close to hiking trails, shopping, and restaurants. We had one of the larger rooms, facing the mountains, with a kitchenette that made it easy to brew morning coffee. I enjoyed the thoughtful details, like charming coffee cups and a make-up cloth in the bathroom, and the king bed was comfortable. The air conditioner was refreshingly quiet. I met only lovely, respectful guests by the pool, and sometimes had the whole pool area to myself. It’s also a handy base for day trips to Joshua Tree or a tram ride up the mountain for panoramic desert views. I’d recommend Old Ranch Inn if you want a quiet getaway.

We loved the private patio for peaceful mornings and the quiet time by the pool during our three nights at Old Ranch Inn. Our room had a spectacular view, was clean and very comfortable, and had plenty of space for two. The little kitchenette was handy for coffee and light breakfasts or snacks. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the location made it easy to walk around town, go shopping or to dinner, and reach one of our favorite hikes. It’s a real gem and we’ll return.
