I loved the little patio outside our room and the citrus trees around the property. We picked a couple of grapefruits with the pickers, and they were sweet and delicious. On a sunny Palm Springs morning, the grounds are lovely to walk around, and the free airport shuttle was handy for our ride home. I wish I’d known about it before we arrived, since I’d already spent $25 on an Uber. The room was spacious, comfortable, and recently updated. It was also more affordable than other downtown hotels, though the experience felt less glamorous. Some branding has been refreshed online, but the old style of the signs around the property still sets a less luxurious tone. The bedroom was updated, but the bathroom wasn’t. There’s no fan, so it got steamy after showers, and the shower pressure was so strong it sprayed water onto the floor unless I aimed it at the wall, which then flooded the soap dishes. Our door’s deadbolt was broken, and the old cable TV was hard to use and had few options, with no Netflix. I would’ve liked bathroom extras like makeup remover towels or towelettes and Q-tips. They also have bikes to borrow if you want to explore farther.

Tiffany made check-in feel personal from the start. She was warm and kind, explained everything clearly, and paid attention to what we might need. Just before us, I watched her deal with a very difficult guest. She stayed calm, listened patiently, and handled the situation thoughtfully without losing her gracious manner. It was impressive to see. That same care carried over when she helped us. She made the beginning of our stay feel easy and welcoming, and it was clear she cares about people as much as her work. Tiffany is a big reason guests would want to return to Palm Mountain Spa & Resort. She deserves a raise, a promotion, and a leadership role.

We stayed two nights at this fun little place. It’s only one street, about a five-minute walk, from the main stretch of restaurants and shops. The updated room had a comfortable bed, plus a coffee maker, microwave, and small fridge. The TV was a good size, though oddly placed far from the bed with little seating nearby. We didn’t really mind.

The bed was VERY comfortable, and the staff and management were accommodating and did what they could to make our stay enjoyable. We had seven rooms for 12 of us, celebrating my brother’s marriage at the courthouse earlier that day. The hotel is central, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the little casino. We liked the retro, quaint decor, and it’s clear they put thought into the remodel. Our room was by the pool with a small patio, though vines along the fence blocked the pool view. Parking was okay. The main problem was hot water. Most rooms didn’t have any, so we ended up with cold showers. I took mine at 4am, and it was a miserable start to the day. We’d stay again once the shower issue is fixed. That weekend, a known biker “club” was holding its annual Palm Springs gathering, with close to 1000 members staying around town. This wasn’t the hotel’s fault, and everyone we encountered was polite and friendly, but they were there to party. A few of us barely slept, so we cut our weekend short. Management compensated the guests who were affected.

The pool and fire pits were our favorite amenities, and the staff were friendly and gave us good recommendations. The room was cute, with a Palm Springs feel, and the location made it easy to walk downtown and to restaurants. A few things in the room could use attention: the AC was loud, the outlets beside the beds didn’t work, and the shower made an ear-piercing sound when the water was turned on.
