Palm Springs Rendezvous

Room #7, the “Pretty in Pink” room, made for a visit we really loved. The pool area was cozy, and at night we swam, relaxed in the hot tub, then sat by the fire pit. It felt like home. This is a small place, maybe 10 or 11 rooms, and that’s what made it so comfortable and cozy for us. It’s kind of old and could use some updating, but we liked that it wasn’t a big, fancy hotel. Almost all the rooms have a jacuzzi tub for two, which was a nice touch. If you want a big, fancy hotel, this probably isn’t your spot. For a cozy place that feels like home, check it out.

Once the sun went down, we could enjoy the pool area, and the quiet, non-corporate feel was cool. But the description made it sound like the room opened onto the pool in a way it didn’t for me. There were no umbrellas, so we ended up buying a day pass to a Hyatt. We’d just wanted to lounge poolside with quick access to our room, away from Hilton/Hyatt type families. The room itself was fine, with a comfy bed and a mini fridge that’s larger than most hotel mini fridges. They say music plays to create a vibe, but we didn’t hear any.

The owners were so friendly and accommodating, and check-in felt like being welcomed by an old friend. Breakfast was delicious and filling, and the heated pool, in-room AC, and jacuzzi tub were all great. This quaint little bed and breakfast is right in the heart of Palm Springs. It’s close to restaurants and shops but far enough away that noise and traffic don’t get in the way. We’ll definitely be back.

We picked this comfortable 50s-themed hotel for a quaint birthday getaway, and the Route 66 Room had a fridge, microwave, and in-room Jacuzzi. Carlos & Henry were attentive hosts, and the delicious breakfast each morning was a welcome addition. It’s not the place for plush surroundings or a busy crowd. It’s perfect for relaxing with a partner or friends, with 24-hour access to the heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi, firepit, and fireplace room. We really enjoyed our stay and will visit again.
