Spirit of Sofia

The villa is beautifully designed and has luxurious amenities, and we were very comfortable there. You can rent the whole place for a private trip with friends or just one room for a more intimate stay. Palm Springs had perfect weather while we were there, so we made the most of the lovely outdoor areas, from the pool to the peaceful gardens. The location worked well too, close to local foodie spots but still a calm retreat from the bustle. We loved our stay at the Spirit of Sofia Resort and can't wait to return. Highly recommended for a Palm Springs getaway.

No on-site attendant means it's entirely self-check-in, so if anything goes wrong, you're on your own. The amenities were filthy and neglected. The steam room and hot tub seemed clearly unmaintained and were honestly unusable. The whole property felt run-down, with worn-out, grungy decor that gave the impression nobody cared. For what they charge, it should be pristine. Instead, it's an overpriced dump relying on misleading photos and excessive fees. Avoid it. There are much better places in Palm Springs. The charges piled up fast: a $362 base rate, then a $108.60 cleaning fee despite the dirt and no turn-down service, a $47.06 booking fee with no justification after booking online, and another $50+ in Palm Springs taxes and fees. The two-night deposit was higher than the booking itself. The listing bears little resemblance to the place. It's a scam, with absurd fees, neglected amenities, and no service. You're paying absorbent fees for a grungy, motel-like stay. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Restaurants, nightlife, and hiking are all a short drive away, and I'd definitely stay here again. My wife and I had an excellent stay at Spirit of Sofia. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with soft linens and towels. I enjoyed the heated pool, hot tub, steam room, and BBQ area. The zebra and unicorn pool floaties were a nice touch.

Spirit of Sophia was just right for our group of 18, and the property matched its description. Each bungalow was nicely air conditioned and had great linens, decor, and amenities. We loved that the rooms opened onto the pool area, and the pool and outdoor lounge space were so much fun. When we needed to bring everyone inside, the three-bedroom suite had a great indoor lounge where we all fit comfortably. We had an amazing time in late July. Michael was an exceptional host. Thanks for having us, Michael. We look forward to coming back.
