OYO Hotel Palmdale - Antelope Valley

The woman was nicer when she worked at Red roof, and I had a good stay there. But after this visit to OYO, I'm never coming back. There were dead roaches and a dirty tub, and I got bitten by something. They keep your money if you don't report it within 20 minutes, and I was very upset that I didn't get a refund. The woman also blamed me for the dirty restroom until she sent it herself. Is there a health board I can call? This was the worst experience ever. If I could give it negative stars, I would.

I left without staying and had to find another hotel, so the money was a total waste. I only needed a bed for one night while passing through, but a sheriff who drove through the parking lot advised me to leave after I saw a man selling drugs there. I checked the room anyway, and it looked nothing like the photos. There was blood-like and poop-like stuff on the wall, cigarette burns on the bedding, and part of the bathroom ceiling was coming down. The towels weren't white anymore. This place was horrible. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

The rebranding doesn't change what this place is like. It's the old hooters hotel, and everything felt worn out and dilapidated. Half the room had no power, and the A/C didn't work either. When we arrived, only one elevator was running, and the line took 35 minutes. By the next day, none of the elevators worked. We were on the 16th floor and got no notice, so we had to walk all 16 flights to get out before checkout. You get what you pay for, but here it was a lot less.

This felt like a motel, not a hotel, and the room was nothing like the photos online. The supposedly non-smoking room smelled strongly of cigarettes. The floors were sticky, the towels had black streaks, and there were stains on the sheets, pillowcases, and chair. There was still hair in the shower when we arrived. We bought cleaning supplies just to feel a little more comfortable. It wasn't a comfortable stay. I'd look somewhere else.
