Hotel Parmani

The place is close to Stanford hospital and a Starbucks, which helps. Parking was $4, and early check-in cost $30. But the bathtub wouldn't hold water, and the toilet wouldn't drain. The TVs are old, and although the photos showed breakfast, they don't serve it. When I asked about the tub drain, the woman at the desk told me to call back in five minutes so she could figure it out. I did, and she'd already gone home. Community plunger, anyone? Two stars, I guess.

The location is convenient for Stanford University, and bus 22 or 522 will get you there from Palo Alto. I was a little disappointed with the room service. That needs improvement.

There barely seem to be any hotel services here. Apart from a third-party cleaning crew that turns rooms over between stays, nobody is on site. It's basically a lousy room with a bed, shower, and toilet. I've had more courtesy and basic service at the cheapest motels. Only stay if you've run out of every other option. It's a joke.

For the price, the room was quite decent and good quality. The staff were really friendly and willing to help with whatever I needed. Rooms were clean, and daily service was available if I wanted it. Otherwise, they cleaned every three days, which was totally fine with me.
