Small and quaint, with the basics you need, including a coffee pot and kitchen supplies for simple breakfasts or dinners. The motel was newly renovated, comfortable, and in a safe area, with only a short walk to the beach. I loved staying here and would happily come back. Highly recommend it!

The remodeling has made the place look amazing. It’s really close to the beach, and the pool is clean and eight feet deep. The older reviews don’t reflect how it is now. Great price and location!

My cousin told the manager what happened and sent pictures of the bugs and his swollen lip, but got no explanation or refund, and they wouldn’t move us to another room. The manager has been avoiding my cousin. A bug bit a member of my family and his lip swelled up. This place is sick. Do not stay here. We’ll see you in court soon. Be safe.

The staff were friendly and laid-back, and the ocean is right across the street. The beach wasn’t very busy. The motel has about 20 rooms, some attached and some in small standalone buildings. Two more rooms are down the street in the owners’ house, converted from the garage. It felt a little strange, but those rooms were the most private. The rooms vary in how nice they are. Room 11 works well for two couples since the beds are in separate rooms. We’d requested it when booking, but it had been given away when we arrived. After making a fuss because we really wanted it, we got to use it for half the week and received a partial refund. It wasn’t cheap, but this was the best we could find on the beach. Getting to the clubs, including live club la vela, was difficult without transportation, as they’re a 10-15 minute drive away. Some rooms were being updated while we were there. The kitchenette rooms had a full-size fridge, stove, and microwave, but no dishes at all, so bring your own if you want to cook. They mail the security deposits instead of returning them right away, just so you know.
