Edgewater Villa #704 by Resort Collection

We'd stay at Continental condominiums unit#422 again. The elevators were quick, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The condo looked like the photos and was nicely decorated. A few things could be better: the A/C didn't cool very well, the shower needs a new head, and the bedroom would benefit from better blackout curtains.

Resort Collection was very accommodating when we raised some concerns about the other resort we had booked. They switched us to the unit we wanted without questions. Calling them got a faster response than messaging, and we'd book this unit again. Thanks to RC for a great stay. Our family of three had a terrific time in Edgewater Resort Tower 3 room 804. It was clean, welcoming, comfortable, and nicely redecorated, with no carpet, which was a big plus. The pictures RC currently shows don't reflect the updates. The location worked well for us, the staff were helpful, and the pools and splash pad stayed at a comfortable temperature without feeling overcrowded. The beach was only a few minutes' walk from our unit. Parking was a downside, and the railings made me nervous because my 3-year-old could easily fit through them, both on the way to the unit and on our balcony. We bought garden netting and put it across our unit's railing, which solved that problem.

We liked the location and pools, but the room had a terrible smell when we checked in. It took two days to sort out the garbage disposal, and the fridge was leaking too. I might have rated it five stars without the odor problem. We didn't see a dive-in movie or the Minnie bowling alley, and the beach bar closed around 5:30 on a Saturday, which felt really early. To be fair, it was off season, so that may have played a part.

We got a credit for some of the nights, but it still didn't make up for the stay. The room hadn't been cleaned at check-in, and we waited outside for 2.5 hours until housekeeping arrived and did a horrible job. The washing machine was broken all week, and nobody made an effort to fix it. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
