We felt unsafe, targeted, and completely unsupported. Coming back from the beach, a woman later identified as Joyce demanded our unit number without first saying who she was, showing credentials, or wearing a uniform. As a group of young women, we were confused and uncomfortable giving personal information to a stranger. Only after we hesitated and asked why she needed it did she say she was “HOA security.” Later, while we were waiting outside for an Uber, she photographed our unit number, car, and license plate. It felt invasive, intimidating, and threatening. In a later conversation, she claimed we had said we “owned” the property. None of us used that word until she brought it up. Her false account of a basic conversation made us worry about what else might have been reported to management or police. We were then evicted with police involvement, despite having caused no disturbances or other issues. Management was dismissive and unprofessional when we contacted them for help or an explanation. They hung up on us or kept repeating that we had “30 minutes,” “the cops were on their way,” and that we should “get packing.” They made no effort to explain things respectfully or resolve the situation calmly. Management said we'd broken an age policy requiring all guests to be 25 or older, although one person in our group was 24. We repeatedly asked for a copy of the agreement or policy we supposedly signed, but they refused or failed to show us any proof. The HOA description says the property values “effective management and communication.” In our experience, what they were effective at was evicting, intimidating, making false accusations, and communicating poorly. The whole situation was hostile, disorganized, and unprofessional. Guests shouldn't be aggressively questioned, photographed, intimidated, ignored, or threatened with police without clear communication and documented proof of the rules.

We had four adults in unit 703 at Grand View East, with plenty of room for everyone. The beds were very comfortable, and there was lots of furniture for enjoying the balcony and beach views. It was clean and we enjoyed the condo. Our only complaint was running out of paper towels and needing some dish towels.

The eviction was the worst part of a stay that already felt unsafe. We were returning from the beach when a woman stopped our group of young girls and demanded our room number. She didn't identify herself, show ID, or wear a uniform, so we weren't comfortable giving it to a stranger. Later, while we waited outside our unit for an Uber, she photographed our door number, car, and license plate. Management was no help when we called. They either said the police were coming and hung up, or didn't answer. We were told we'd broken an age rule and signed an agreement requiring every guest to be 25 or older. One person in our group was 24, and we hadn't caused any problems. We asked for a copy of the agreement but never got one. When we asked how to complain, management said, “you can file all complaints about us, to us.” The main office told us that because we booked through Vrbo rather than the resort's site, we didn't have to follow those rules. Management wouldn't listen and had us removed with police involvement, halfway through our stay, without a refund. We were given 30 minutes to pack, and told anything left behind would go to the police and then belong to the owner. The whole situation was disorganized, hostile, and frightening. Guests shouldn't be treated this way without clear communication or proof of the policies.

The location is great, and our past condo rentals here have usually been decent. This unit had a string of small maintenance issues, though: sinks that wouldn't drain, a dryer that left clothes wet, and WiFi with a different name from the one we were given. They seem like easy fixes, but they made it feel like management wasn't paying much attention.

I stayed in 104 in fall 2025, and the place itself was beautiful. But I fell when my foot caught in the netting along the walkway from the beach to the condo. I needed an X-ray for my arm and hand, and my hand is permanently damaged. I sent photos of the torn netting and was told someone would get back to me. No one has contacted me about reimbursing the X-ray copay. They keep saying they'll contact me, so has that dangerous walkway been fixed? This has been going on since September of last year. I'm lucky I didn't break my arm. Don't expect the HOA to follow up if you're hurt here. I won't stay again. It isn't safe, and I absolutely don't recommend it.
