Hyatt Place Panama City Beach

The service really made our anniversary stay. My husband had called ahead about flowers for our 30th, and when we arrived there were flowers and chocolates, thoughtfully arranged by someone from the front desk. Thank you, you know who you are. I appreciated you going the extra mile. The restaurant food was good, and breakfast had a lovely mix of hot and cold options. The rooms were immaculate too. I usually bring cleaning supplies to hotels and Airbnbs, but I wiped both rooms down with Clorox wipes and found not a speck of dirt or dust. The location is hard to beat: take the elevator to the ground floor, walk around the pool, and you’re on the sand. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available first come, first served, and someone even adjusts the umbrella as the sun moves. We’ll be back again and again.

The breakfast had a nice range of pastries, savory and sweet food, drinks, juice, eggs, and fruit. We stayed in a sea-facing room on an upper floor for our anniversary weekend, which was also Valentine’s weekend. We expected crowds, but the pool, hot tub, and shared spaces never felt too busy. The room was bright, clean, and comfortable, with laminate wood-look floors, fresh linens, a safe, an iron and board, and an unstocked minibar. The basics were what you’d expect at a hotel in this category. Views of the Gulf were lovely, and the property has a private beach like many places along the Panhandle. Parking costs extra and is in a lot across the street owned by Hyatt. Nice hotel, new infrastructure, and clean rooms.

That ocean view from the room was worth the price. We could just relax and look out at the scenery. The pool area is lovely for couples or families, and the beach and famous pier are only steps away. The hotel was spotless and well organized, and it felt like the place was being managed carefully. From arrival on, the staff were friendly and professional, always smiling and checking that we had what we needed. The staff were so helpful and friendly, and breakfast was delicious with a good variety. Our room had a beautiful view, and everything was very clean. The pool was in great condition and felt safe for the kids. We’d definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.
