Long Beach Resort 500 Tower I - Two Bedroom Condo

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would consider booking again. The room had a great Gulf view, and the pool was pleasantly warm. The fitness center was closed while we were there, one hot tub jet wasn’t working, and the floor in our rental didn’t seem to have been mopped recently.

We’ve stayed here two years running, on the east end of 30a, and it’s a great place. The beach access is easy, the sunsets are lovely, and the Gulf water is emerald-colored. There are nice pools, and beach loungers and umbrellas are provided. Security is there around the clock, with a guard at the gate. For the views, I recommend staying on the 8th floor or above.

We could walk to lots of places without having to deal with traffic, and the location was fabulous. Our room was comfortable, beautiful, and clean, with great views of the beach.

The building was undergoing major construction when we arrived at Unit 901 in Tower 4. Debris was everywhere, only one elevator worked, and we couldn’t access the beach or the unit’s balcony. All the patio furniture, eight chairs and three tables, had been moved into the living area, so even getting around the unit meant shifting furniture. We asked Southern Vacation Rentals for a different unit or a partial refund. They said their website had a generic construction notice and that we “should have known” it meant the furniture would be inside. They also told us they didn’t care if we stayed because they already had our money. The building’s HOA told us the unit shouldn’t have been rented during construction. Rent from someone else. This company was unprofessional and completely unhelpful.
