Red Roof Inn Panama City

Carol was always friendly, and she kept the breakfast area clean and ready each morning. Christina was helpful and friendly too. I was here with my elderly mother, who can’t get into a tub, so I asked to switch to a room with a walk-in shower. The staff member on duty had the room cleaned and moved us over without any trouble.

The microwave was a welcome perk, but I left pretty disappointed. The room had a bad smell, and the floor was worn and buckled near the bed. I didn't feel comfortable walking around barefoot. There was a tissue stuck in the peephole, and when I switched on the bathroom light and fan, something kept dropping from the vent into the toilet. I couldn't tell what it was. The shower and sink soap dispensers were frustrating too, since I could only get a tiny bit out each time. The smell of weed hit me as soon as I entered the hotel. It may have come from another guest, but it was still unpleasant. I had expected more because this is one of the area's better-rated hotels on Google Maps. Don't let those five-star reviews set your expectations too high. I was asked to review my stay, and this is my honest opinion.

Rochelle went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable, and I especially appreciate that. Everyone else who helped also deserves thanks. My stop at the Red Roof Inn was a very pleasant one.

We travel often with our dog, and Red Roof always makes both of us feel welcome. We were down in PCB and couldn't find another place that wouldn't charge a fortune for the pet, on top of asking for deposits. Even the crappy Ecno Lodge wouldn't let us bring animals. Their loss, since they missed out on my money!
