The porch was a lovely spot to sit, with an awesome view. Our little cabin had a living area with a table and chairs, plus a handy mini fridge. The queen bed was more comfortable than the twin and double mattresses, though those were still fine for young bodies. The shower had good pressure and temperature, and they provided small bottles of shampoo and conditioner, bar soap, and makeup remover wipes. The floor was a bit dusty, and a few long-legged, spindly spiders were tucked into corners, minding their own business. Wi-Fi was only available at the general store and restaurant. Staff at both places were really friendly and helpful.

The staff were very friendly and helped with all our questions. We chose the cottage because it fit our group of five. It could have been cleaned more thoroughly, but we had no trouble sleeping or showering there. The food was really expensive, though in the middle of nowhere we were glad to get a hot cooked meal, a shower, and a cool place to sleep.

The RV sites have water hookups, and having showers and toilets right there was a big plus. The place could use some redecorating, maybe, but it’s still much better than having no facilities. A great place to spend a couple of nights while visiting Death Valley. I’d recommend it.

The staff made such a difference after hours of driving through the heat. They patiently helped with every question and request, even the “dumb” ones, and changing from one type of lodging to another during our three-night stay was seamless. We spent one night in the glamping tent and two in a cabin room. The restaurant and gas station were handy if we’d forgotten something or needed anything. I’m back home in Texas, but still thinking about this resort and its wonderful staff. The nights were peaceful and isolated, and I appreciated the quiet every time we came back from busy Furnace Creek. There was some noise in the morning as people headed out, but that’s campground life. I cooked dinner on our camp stove and could still see the stars with my headlamp on. I didn’t get to Darwin Falls this time, so it’s on my list for the next visit. Thank you, Panamint Springs, for a wonderful stay!

The desert is beautiful, and the stars at night are just wow. What really makes the place, though, is the staff’s positive energy. I met Alyssa, Taz, Bryan, Heath, and Dwight, among others, and their joy in working and living there really shines. You’re wonderful. I’ll be back!
