The large tubs and good pricing were a plus. My days are usually packed from sunrise until well after sunset, but it was quiet and lovely here, and I felt like life could slow down for a bit. Even if you live in Paola, it's a nice place to get a little solitude.
It was just okay, and I probably wouldn't return if I had other options. The room was reasonably clean, but needs refreshing. The furniture was low quality and beat up, and the TV was small compared with most hotels.
The staff are friendly and always greet us with a smile, and breakfast is warm with plenty of choices. The pool was a pleasant surprise. We've stayed at the Paola Inn a couple of times while visiting family nearby. The rooms aren't fantastic, but they're fine for somewhere to sleep for a night. All in all, a decent hotel.
We were stranded out of town after an ice storm and couldn't leave. Although they were booked, they gave us a room. The continental breakfast was actually really good and worth a visit on its own, especially if you try the waffles. That's the main reason for the five stars.
The place was very clean and the service was great. I'd stay again.
