The food was a highlight. We had breakfast on both mornings and dinner on our second night, and Scott is a phenomenal chef. I only wish we'd eaten in on the first night too. My wife and I spent two nights here and left feeling completely relaxed. The decor is impeccable, every space feels thoughtfully staged, and the music in the common areas adds to the calm. Walking into the house is like stepping back in time, in the best way. For a quick break from the city, it was just right.

I was in Paola visiting my daughter and wanted somewhere to unwind after our long days together. Kaskaskia Place felt like an escape, and I didn't have the privacy worries I sometimes have about B&Bs. The house felt welcoming as soon as I arrived, and the hosts had checked in beforehand to make sure everything went smoothly. They were easy to reach with questions. I'd definitely stay again.

The stairs make this a poor choice for anyone with mobility issues, but we had no problems during our stay. It's a beautiful B&B, and we slept great.

Kaskaskia Place has the feel of a peaceful escape in a small Kansas town outside Kansas City. Fresh sourdough baking filled the house with a lovely smell when we arrived. The Victorian home has been restored beautifully, and its eclectic furnishings make it feel elegant and comfortable at the same time. The decor is thoughtfully chosen, with little details that give every corner character. My room was cozy and very clean, with historical touches alongside modern amenities. The bathroom was especially memorable, full of plants and topped off by a glittering chandelier. It felt a bit like a tropical paradise, and was wonderfully put together. A romantic visit or a quiet retreat would both suit this charming place.
