Ritz Motel & Lodging

The room was dirty, the staff was rude, and they wouldn’t even provide a trash bag. We stayed only because we had no other choice. One room they showed us before booking had a floor that was peeling up and looked awful. Thankfully we didn’t get that room, but showing it as an option says a lot about how the place is run. They advertise weekly stays on their business card, then refused when we asked about one. After we pushed, they changed their minds. The card machine didn’t work, the Wi-Fi was poor despite their claim that it was good, and they brought up a no-visitors-after-9-PM rule that hadn’t been mentioned before booking. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The manager is really nice, and the other staff are polite. The beds are comfortable, it’s pet friendly, and the room stayed cool. We’re staying here now, keeping to ourselves, and it’s peaceful with no one bothering us. The refrigerator gets drinks almost icy cold. Worth every penny.

We saw six roaches in about 45 minutes. After dinner, we came back around 10 and were all hanging out in one room without even touching the beds when we spotted and killed four. Our friends went to their room and killed two more. We left at 10:45 and told management, who said the owner would contact us about a refund. We never heard from him. We only asked for some of our money back, especially since we had to drive an hour and 45 minutes home. The customer service wasn’t good. Check the pictures, and don’t stay there. We used to stay there for our boys’ ball tournaments, and it wasn’t great then. A couple of weeks ago, we went with friends and found it was worse than before. We had rented two rooms and arrived around 5:30, changed, and went out for dinner.
