Fairfield Inn & Suites Omaha Papillion

The hotel seems fine otherwise, with continental breakfast and a few things within walking distance. But I like having a working hot tub. When I asked about the jets, since they don’t work and it’s basically just a hot bath, the front desk clerk said that’s how it is. I’d rather stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Bellevue.

The staff were great, and the hot breakfast was nice. They also left bananas and cuties out during the day for anyone to take, which was a nice touch. The room was clean and decent, though on the small side. The bed was average, and there were just two clothing drawers. The closet was quite small too, and the refrigerator was a mini one, smaller than average. There was no in-room safe. Still, nothing was a major negative, and customer service was friendly.

The pool was closed because of a maintenance problem and they were waiting on a part. That was a major disappointment for the kids, and we had to deal with tears and sadness. Breakfast was great, and the front desk staff were so sweet and kind. The stay itself was great.

The night shift staff were especially wonderful and made us feel at home. The staff overall were outstanding. The room had a couple of problems. We had to use pants hangers from the closet to clip the curtains shut and keep the light out, so neither of us got much sleep the first night. The shower door design was horrible too. Water ran down the glass onto the floor after every use, and we ended up using every towel we had to mop it up, no matter how careful we were.
