Grand River Hotel

I've stayed in three rooms here, and each was spotless with a lovely view. Having the washer and dryer in the lobby is so convenient, and the indoor pool gets lovely light through all its windows. My dogs are comfortable here, too, and there's an easy place to walk them. They're genuinely pet-friendly. I arrived at 5:00 AM during a difficult time, even though check-in wasn't until 3:00 PM. Ve was so kind and let me check in right away so I could get my son ready for school. It meant a lot. This is a comfortable, clean place with staff who care.

The view from my window of the mountains and Battlement Mesa was stunning and completely unobstructed. The room was spacious and clean, and waking up to that scenery was a real highlight. I also enjoyed the indoor heated pool and hot tub, both at a relaxing temperature. Ve was great from the moment I arrived, with warm, professional service and real attention to guests. For the value and service like that, I'd stay here again when traveling through Colorado.

We have two little dogs, and one of the best things here is that it's pet friendly with no pet fees. They don't charge for parking either. It's a nice, comfortable hotel, and I recommend staying here. My sister and I are senior citizens living only on Social Security, and we've been homeless and staying here for about four to five months. Since the new owners took over in October, 2025, they offer breakfast every morning from 6:00-9:00. Management has been wonderful about working with us on the cost. A couple of times we had to sleep in our car because we had no money, but the manager, "V", didn't want us out there and worked with us so we could stay. We can't thank him enough. Other staff have given us food, and all of them, along with everyone who's helped us through this hard time, have been wonderful. We're incredibly grateful. ❤️

The rooms are clean, and the beds are more comfortable than others I've tried in the area. The pool and hot tub were clean and at a good temperature. I stayed twice, both times at a good rate. On the longer visit, breakfast was ready each morning. The first time we arrived late and went straight to bed, so we hardly saw the property; in the morning the breakfast had been picked over, but they made a fresh one when we asked. I was the only guest on the second stay, so they switched me from the double queen to a single king and kept the same rate, even though the double queen had been the better deal. I wish breakfast had more options and condiments, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
