We'd read the reviews and weren't sure what to expect, but Mandalay Bay was a lovely stay. The bathroom was amazing, and our room was beautiful and super clean. It was serviced every day, with fresh towels left for us. Service around the hotel was very good, and check-in and checkout were painless. Thanks for a wonderful time. We'll come back sometime.

We used to make this our favorite hotel, and we stay almost every year, spending thousands of dollars. After our trip was interrupted, we had to leave early and hoped to get partial credit for the missed night and rebook two days later. Instead, Chase told us to contact the hotel, the hotel sent us back to Chase, and even after I got Chase to call them, they asked us to email and wait 10-15 days for a reply. A straightforward request took an hour on the phone. I'd rather have been told plainly that missed nights can't be refunded or credited, with no exceptions. It felt like they already had our money and didn't care, and I don't think they even checked our history. This is how AI ends up taking over customer service: people unwilling to use common sense to keep customers coming back are costing themselves their jobs. They wouldn't work with us, so we'll stay elsewhere when we return.

The room was spacious, well equipped, and comfortable, and the casino has the big, flashy spectacle you'd expect in Las Vegas. Mandalay Bay delivers a full scale Strip resort experience, but be ready to spend. Drinks, snacks, parking, the resort fee, even bottled water add up fast. It's costly even by Strip standards, so you'll need a generous budget to stay comfortably. If money isn't a concern and you're after a big Vegas experience, it does the job. If you're watching expenses, the prices on almost everything can dull the appeal of an otherwise impressive place.

I was here for a work event and spent most of my time in the hotel. It's an older place, but comfortable enough. There aren't many shops, though there are a few Starbucks cafes and some good food. Strip Steak was good, and so was the noodle cafe.
