Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were very nice. That was the only good part. I’d read that people canceled after seeing their rooms and weren’t refunded. If I could’ve afforded to go elsewhere, I would have. The outside doors in my section were damaged, with dents and gaps where many didn’t seal properly. The AC barely worked, the place was extremely loud, and I could hear everything, even from several rooms away. Good luck smelling anything besides pot. The beds were rock hard, and we got one towel with no washcloths. For somewhere supposed to be new, there was peeling paint, odd white stuff on the desk, holes in the chair, a missing bulb in one lamp, only three other lights in the room, and holes in the walls. Outside lights stayed bright all night and lit up the room. The bathroom was awful: broken toilet seat, scuff marks all over the tub and walls, and a sink with only one setting that ran too hard and fast. There were multiple hairs in the shower, and the tub faucet leaked the whole time. On the last day, we saw a Terminex van and people looking at the rooms across from ours.

The property was filthy and poorly maintained, and I wouldn’t stay again. There were people hanging around outside who made us feel unsafe leaving our room at night. Housekeeping even left a note asking for a tip while basic cleaning was being ignored. There were tobacco stains on the ceiling that looked like they were dripping from the room above, stains in the tub, and a general level of dirt that was hard to ignore. Piles of dog shit sat at the bottom of the stairs where guests have to walk, smelling awful and clearly not being cleaned up. The laundry room door was broken, the pool area was covered in bird droppings, and the pool itself looked dirty. There was no fridge or convenient way to charge devices, and a fly stayed in the room the whole time. The plumbing was a mess. The sink and shower sprayed water everywhere, the toilet was clogged when we arrived, and my husband had to deal with it himself. It also looked like the toilet was leaking into the room below.

The desk attendant canceled my reservation after I wouldn’t take cash out of the lobby ATM for a $100 deposit. I’d booked through a third-party site and offered my bank card so they could hold the money, but she pointed me to the machine instead. I explained that both the ATM operator and my bank charge fees. I’ve stayed at Motel 6 several times and had never been asked for a cash deposit before. There were three police officers in the lobby and a police cruiser outside while this happened, which made the idea that I’d use a stolen card seem especially hard to understand. I believe I was treated this way because I’m Black and had several credit cards. I wish I’d recorded the exchange. Next time I’m in Vegas, I plan to record them and expose what happened. Don’t stay here. Pay a little more somewhere you’ll be treated with respect.

I’ve been coming back on and off for two years while working away from home in Vegas. The staff work hard to make you comfortable and have been great. The beds are the best, especially the two-bed room, which I know for a fact has brand-new beds. It’s close to the Strip, but far enough away that you can escape the crowds and get some good rest 😎

Roaches were everywhere, big ones and hundreds of little ones coming out from under the bed. I killed several crawling up from the bathtub drain, too. When I told the front desk guy, all he did was write down the corporate number for me to call. I’d picked this location because it was convenient to use the laundry, and I needed a second night. But I chose another place instead. I love Hotel 6, though this location has made it hard to love.
