Tahquamenon Suites Lodging

We loved being able to start right on the trail from the room, then take Trail 45 to both the lower and upper falls. We had a great lunch at Tahquamenon Falls Brewery by the upper falls, and there’s also a Wheelhouse diner just off the trail and road near the motel. We’d definitely stay again. We made a detour to Tahquamenon Falls for snowmobiling. Samantha called right back to say rooms were available, then texted the details. Getting in was easy, and the rooms were huge with a nice kitchen area. There’s no oven, but they had everything else, including a toaster oven that cooked our store-bought pizza. We parked the truck and trailer outside our room. It might get tight there on really busy weekends.

We didn’t have to visit an on-site office to check in, and when I had questions, they answered by text right away. I’d been a little worried about there not being an office, but it turned out to be convenient. The lodge was close to Tahquamenon Falls, and since many restaurants and hotels were closed for winter, we were glad this one was open. We’d love to return in summer. The room had everything we wanted, was clean and pleasant, and all the windows made it bright and comfortable. We arrived to find it warm, so I turned the temperature down instead of needing the blanket I’d brought. The kitchen had all the essentials, plus hand soap, dish soap, shower supplies, and coffee. We were thrilled to find towel sets for all four of us.

Tahquamenon Suites made for a relaxing stay, thanks to the owner. The room was thoughtfully set up with everything we needed, and we slept soundly in a very comfortable bed. The kitchenette and sitting area were lovely, and we appreciated having a full-size fridge and a stove.

This was a great, relaxing getaway, and we’d happily return to Tahquamenon Suites Lodging. The facility has no on-site staff, but check-in was simple and smooth, and the Schlage lock was easy to use and felt secure. Management responded quickly. When we had to leave a day early, they readily refunded that night. Our room was clean and comfortable, with all the basic supplies well stocked.
