The Carriage House

It was clean, quiet, and felt safe the whole time we stayed at The Carriage House in Las Vegas. The hotel is smaller than many nearby, which made it more comfortable. It’s close to the Strip and plenty of restaurants, so getting around was easy without being right in the middle of the noise. A comfortable, practical place to stay.

The concierge and front desk staff were very helpful, and the hotel was clean with excellent security. We stayed at the Carriage House for a week in February and chose not to use housekeeping. A few days after checkout, my sister realized she’d left her charger and some other valuables in the room. I contacted the housekeeping manager, who said an investigation was conducted. No one admitted to taking the items, of course. I’m so disappointed. Their staff don’t do the right thing and turn in what they find. They steal it because it’s easier.

The bed was comfortable, the place was quiet, and parking was easy to get in and out of. Check-in and checkout were simple, and the location was great. The pool was under construction, which we hadn’t been told beforehand. They offered access to the Marriott next door, but getting there meant a long walk around the block, so we didn’t bother. The air conditioning kept switching off before the room reached the temperature we wanted. The thermostat only showed the set temperature, not the actual one, and the manual fan switch didn’t seem to change anything.

The room was enormous and very well equipped, and reception made check-in quick. We were early, but they let us park anyway. The pool is closed at the moment, though that didn’t bother us; I believe guests can use the pool at the hotel next door. Being a smaller hotel made it quieter and more homey than others in the area. It was an ideal choice for our family, with the Strip just a short walk away.
