Chateau Apres Lodge

For a basic ski trip to Park City, I’d stay here again. We enjoyed our four-night February stay, especially given the central location and price. The room was clean and comfortable, though basic. Breakfast was included, simple but good enough to get started, and served at reasonable hours, 7:30-9:30. It’s an easy five-minute walk to the lifts and about ten minutes to Main Street shops and restaurants. A few small upgrades would help: the towels were very thin and small, yogurt at breakfast would be nice, and a mini fridge in the room would be handy. The shared fridge was clean and worked fine.

The location made getting around easy: it was about a ten-minute walk to the Park City Mountain Gondola and the same to downtown. There was even a fun sledding spot across the street for little kids. We spent three nights here to ski, and the Chateau was spotless, full of character, and had a handy little cafeteria with tables, a shared fridge, and a microwave. Ed told us they work to keep a ski trip affordable in Park City. He and Jason, the father and son running the Chateau, were kind, patient, and hardworking, and their presence made the stay better. I can’t say enough good things. 10/10, we’ll come back and hope to see them again.

The cozy feel made this a lovely place to stay. We could walk to the chair lift, then head to Main Street on foot in the evening. They kept us supplied with clean towels each day, and the continental breakfast was just right to get us started. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks for a great stay!

For a welcoming, safe, no-frills community lodge in a great location, this is exactly the sort of ski place I want. It’s full of character and run by wonderful people. Definitely the best place I’ve ever stayed on snow. If you’re after five-star luxury, look elsewhere; if you want a lodge that feels like a proper ski lodge, stay here.
